Research Article Published in Bioinformation Journal - Click here

Y chromosome is the sex–determining chromosome in most mammals, including humans. In mammals, it contains the gene SRY (Sex-determining Region Y), which triggers testis development, thus determining sex. In human, the Y chromosome is composed of about 60 million base pairs. Although 196 protein sequences have been deposited in EMBL. Only 89 proteins have been characterized. Hence, the present database, was aimed at characterizing the remaining 107 protein sequences using the recent trends in Insilico Biology.

All the 107 protein sequences have been highlighted in alphabetical order
